World Balloon Festival is coming to Kraków: an exhibition in which five themed worlds have been built from more than 100,000 balloons. The Balloon Festival will take place on the weekend of 21 and 22 November 2026 at EXPO Kraków and is advertised as the first event of its kind in Poland.

In brief

  • When: Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026.
  • Where: EXPO Kraków.
  • What: World Balloon Festival — five themed zones built from more than 100,000 balloons.
  • For whom: families with children; the programme includes balloon workshops, animations and photo walls.
  • Tickets: available online, the number of places is limited.

Five worlds built from balloons

The organisers have divided the exhibition space into five themed zones, which visitors walk through. Each has its own set design and colour scheme, and all the installations were made from balloons.

Balloon Jungle is a tropical zone with balloon monkeys hidden among the greenery, passages between “trees” and swaying leaves. Underwater World is kept in a cool palette of blues and turquoises — it features octopuses, jellyfish, balloon mermaids and fragments of sunken ships.

In the Airborne Architecture zone, well-known buildings — the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and the Colosseum — are recreated from thousands of balloons, standing side by side like a “city of dreams”. Cosmos and Galaxy, meanwhile, is the most abstract part of the exhibition: planets larger than a person, satellites and rockets floating in the半 dark.

Attractions for children and families

The festival has been prepared with the youngest visitors in mind. The programme includes balloon workshops, where children make their own figurines, colourful face painting and games with animators. Guests can also enjoy large photo walls arranged for festival photo sessions.

Tickets and practical information

Tickets for the Balloon Festival can be purchased online. The organiser notes that the number of places is limited, and tickets for the most popular time slots and the whole weekend may sell out in advance — so it is worth getting your ticket early.

The event is run by PM Entertainment Group. Questions about the exhibition can be directed to +48 536 227 047 or to biuro@festiwalbalonow.pl.

The organiser points out that the visualisations shown are for illustrative purposes only and that each edition may differ from the promotional photos; some materials were prepared with the use of artificial intelligence.
